Material Experiments
KADK, 2017
Ceramic materials are mainly known to be used for tableware, tiles or sanitary ware. However, they are widely used in many other fields for their different and particular properties. One of them is the porosity and I research around this field making different samples according to specific factors. I chose different typologies of clay and concrete to study how they behave after dipping in water for different time sets and then drying.
All samples weighed 100 gr before being fired, respectively at 950°, 1150°, 1260°- 1280°.
Different clay types, Cement and aggregates.
