Ephemeral installation at the Fjallsárlón glacier lagoon, located in Southeast Iceland. An intervention consisting of sculpting an iceberg, an example of organic, unpredictable form, into a cuboid, a reference to artificial production and human construction.

The project unfolded over one day on-site, sculpting the ice block with simple hand tools directly into the glacial water. The artwork's temporality is strongly present, as through a single day the installation completely melts and disappears.

The fifth case study of my ongoing practice-led research: Towards a Socio-Ecological Methodology Within Site-Specific, Land, and Installation Art.
The project engages with the concept of temporality of human intervention, and our impact on the environment and climate, encouraging the use of sustainable processes in artistic practice.

Developed during a 3-month residency at SÍM Residency in Reykjavík.
