C Stool
Object, Installation, Collaboration with Pablo Dorigo
Copenhagen, 2020
C Stool is a concrete stool. Designed for outdoor spaces, the intention is to control how water interacts with the object, both while raining and in long term variations of the color and shades due to the weather intervention and marks. The half-sphere creates a controlled flow of water from the rain bringing to one single drop in the center of the stool. Within years this will create different aging of the material, creating gradients and shades. The minimal and simple form is reminiscent of church stoups and ancient architecture.
The stool is meant to be a modular object to create different configurations as a bench or small architectures for public spaces.
